Unassigning tokens (SC & FF)

Shipping companies and Freight Forwarders with assigned tokens can unassign them at any moment, following these steps.

1) In the "Assigned tokens" tab in the "Holdings" section of your account, you should select the tokens that you would like to unassign. When selected, an "assign" button will appear at the bottom of the screen, highlighted in red below. Click this button.

Note: Unassigning applies only to tokens that are active in the Facilitators' holding account, not to tokens included in an ongoing transaction, retired, or removed.

2) A pop-up box will appear that asks you to you will be prompted to select the number of tokens, emission savings, or transport work you would like to unassigned. Once you enter a value in any of the fields, the others will be populated with the corresponding values, as shown below. If you would like to transfer all these tokens, emission savings, or transport work, select "MAX".

3) If you would like to include a comment about the reason for the unassignment, this will be shown in the "Holding history" tab of the "Holding" section in as well as in the facilitator's.

4) When you click submit, a new pop-up box will appear informing you of the next steps. First, the Katalist administrators will review it. Then, if approved, the tokens will be returned to your holdings.

5) While waiting for this approval, you can view the information about the unassignment in the "Pending Units" section of your account holdings.

If you would like to cancel this unassignment for any reason, click this transaction to be redirected to the screen below, where you can cancel, highlighted in red. Once the unassignment has been approved by the administrator, there is no option to revert this action.

6) You and the representative of the Facilitator account will receive an email notification when the administrator approves the unassignment.

7) You can see your tokens back in "Holding" section as a new subunit with all parameters reset (e.g., baseline, transport work information, and comment section). You can now perform any actions with them.
