# Assign users to account

**1)** After creating your account, you now need to add a user to this account. Login to the registry, go to the company tab, click \[...], highlighted in red below, and invite user to account.

Note: even if you are a Company Representative, you should add yourself to the account to access the holding module and enable all EAC-related actions. Furthermore, you should be part of the Account to receive any notifications about incoming transfers and approvals from the Registry Administrator.

**2)** A pop up box will appear where you should fill in your (or a fellow employee’s) email address and role. Then click invite.

*Note: There are two types of roles for users:*

*-“Initiate and approve” should be selected for users who should be able to initiate and approve actions (e.g. transfers, retirements, and booking if relevant).*

*-“Read only” should be selected for users who should be able to see account information but not have the ability to initiate and approve actions.*

**3)** Once approved by the Katalist administrators, the employee whose information was provided in the previous step will receive an email informing them they are now part of Katalist.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://energy-web-foundation.gitbook.io/katalist/guidelines/getting-started/assign-users-to-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
