Booking tokens (SC)

Only shipping companies are able to book voyages and each voyage should have its own questionnaire.

1) Download the data questionnaire from the Katalist website, found here. Fill in the data for this questionnaire for the voyage you would like to book, specifically the “DQ Template” section of this excel.

2) Once this questionnaire is filled out, it needs to be verified by a 3rd party according to Katalist standards, found here. Along with the completed questionnaire, the Proof of Sustainability and Bunker Delivery Note for the sustainable marine fuel need to be sent to the 3rd party verifier.

You will receive a Statement of Conformity from the 3rd party verifier once this verification has been completed.

Note: Katalist’s requires 3rd party verifiers to have a proven capacity to perform verification of data related to ocean transport services. See Sec. 3.2.a of the Katalist Verification framework for more information on the verifier requirements.

3) Once all documentation has been verified, you can upload the voyage on the Katalist registry. You should log on to your Katalist account, navigate to the “Holdings” module and click on the “Upload voyage” button on the top right of the page, highlighted in red below.

Note: If you have several accounts for your company, be sure that you have selected the correct account in the drop down bar at the top of your page.

4) A pop up box will appear asking you to upload the data questionnaire. If the DQ is not filled out correctly, you will receive an error message with a description of the corrective action needed when you upload it. If this error continues please contact the Katalist team.

5) After uploading the questionnaire you will then be asked to upload three mandatory supporting documents: the bunker delivery note for the SMF used on the voyage, the proof of sustainability for the SMF used on the voyage, and the statement of conformity from the verifier. You are also able to upload additional supporting documents if necessary and/or include a comment that will only be visible to you.

Note: All these documents need to be in PDF format.

6) When all required files have been uploaded, click submit and you will be shown a summary of key data for the voyage uploaded. Review this data to make sure it matches your expectations, and then click submit.

7) The Registry Administrator will now review your voyage information. Two administrators will review each voyage and both are required to approve.

8) You can always check the status of registry approval by navigating to the holdings tab and pending units section of your account. Here you can see all the data you submitted and the status of the voyage.

If you for any reason would like to cancel this booking, you can click this booking where you will be redirected to the below screen that allows you to cancel, highlighted in red below. Once the booking has been approved by both administrators, it is not possible to cancel the booking.

9) Once both registry administrators approve your voyage, you will receive an email from the Registry notifying you of your successful booking. These tokens can now be seen in your holdings account on the Registry.
